Messed up but hilarious. I’m in a wheelchair but I love this guy. I’m thinking of getting a shirt that says “I’m Not Crippled, I’m Just Lazy.” Lol.

F.Y.I. Jackie Flynn has been doing the gray hair joke for at least 15 yrs and doubt he got it from your friend. Since when has Gallagher been the bastion of comedy purity? Most good comics rank him right up there with Carrot Top! There’s a thing called common invention I suspect that is a more likely reason for the confusion. I’ve seen Jackie live and his act is very original, true thieves acts are very derivative so before you go besmirching a good comedian you might want to consider that.

On the other hand, we are still talking about amatures. Once they begin touring and having their own shows, if they keep those parts we could see lawsuits flying against the company that sponsors them.

Ya know I liked what po3try32 said about it and I think he’s right. I had just never thought of it like that before. I don’t think this guy delivered the jokes as well as the original people but it’s probably okay to try to improve on a joke or deliver it better, as long as the person doesn’t try to pass it off as their own original material.

helpedlickbushin2008, usually in stand up comedy the audience recognises the “real” owner of the jokes a mile away, so even if the joke is funny it becomes less funny and so is its comedian.
The jokes themselves aren’t copyrighted – just the performance of the artist him/herself.
Basically if I go on stage and give a very obvious Rodney Dangerfield joke, no one would sue me, but the audience is likely to get annoyed.

This guy’s good, but Carlos Mencia is the GREATEST cover comedian of all time, and NEVER gets his props!
But seriously, as long as they make people laugh, it’s a good thing that shouldn’t be spoiled by anyone. It would be nice if these “cover artists” cited their source or even nicer if they paid some royalties…

I’ve been using that handicapped parking joke for about 30 years since I first heard Gallagher use it in the late 70’s. The gray hair joke my friend has been saying for at least 15 years. It’s easy to be funny when you use someone else’s comedy that’s already been proven to make people laugh. Talk about copyright violation! This guy is using Gallagher’s copyrighted material, why isn’t youtube taking this down? This guy is a hack.
