Parking Sign – A Space for Everything and Everything in its Space
Sunday, March 7th, 2010Owning a parking lot, or having one adjacent to your business facility or warehouse, doesn’t seem to be very complicated. Pedestrians will enter and exit your lot. Vehicles will drive in and park and eventually drive back out. Seems simple enough, right? Hold on a minute. What about handicap spaces? State laws say you must have a certain number of designated spaces for handicap parking. How about designated visitor spaces? You wouldn’t want your employees to take up all of the available spaces, forcing visitors and customers to find spaces way in the back of your lot. And, what about designated employee spaces? You can’t run your business if your employees don’t have adequate spaces in which to park. All of these questions can be addressed with the purchase and placement of a few handy Parking Signs.
Municipal garages, malls, college campuses, warehouses, office parks, airports, arenas and many other business properties have large areas in which to park a car. In a perfect world, drivers could enter your lot, find the most convenient space and park their vehicle without giving it much thought. Unfortunately, the design and set up of a parking lot, and the inclusion of signs, is an endeavor that requires some advanced planning. Certain spaces, particularly closest to the entrance of a building, must be reserved for those individuals who are handicap. Those specific spaces must have a handicap parking sign. Other areas of your parking lot should include additional signage, such as Employee Parking Signs, Visitor Parking Signs, Expectant Mother Parking Signs, Student Parking Signs, etc. Hospitals and medical facilities should have their own unique parking signs, including Hospital Parking Only, Reserved for Doctors, No Parking Hospital Zone, Patient Pick Up Signs, Medical Personnel Only and so on.
Most outdoor Signs are made from strong and flexible aluminum or durable plastic that withstands various types of weather and fluctuating temperatures. Most won’t crack or break if toppled by wind or bumped into by car. And, don’t forget to purchase mounting accessories and posts for easy placement.
